Activities are a quick and easy way to introduce the SMARTRISK No Regrets program to your school.

Activities

Activities are single events or initiatives that are hosted by the school’s SMARTRISK No Regrets team.
They can be hosted at any point throughout the year.
Schools are expected to complete a minimum of four activities.

There are multiple activities to select from but feel free to modify them or develop your own ideas. Remember to promote at least one of the five key messages during each activity.

Contact the local police department, fire service or public health office to request resources or invite them to participate.

To share the message of rail safety with students from a local elementary school.

Magnet Slap

To promote the SMARTRISK five key messages and Stupid Line concept by hosting a Magnet Slap.

Wear the Gear Dodgeball

Promote the use of protective sporting equipment by hosting a Wear the Gear Dodgeball Tournament.

Melon Splat

To demonstrate the fragility of the head and neck while encouraging students to wear a helmet while participating in recreational activities.

Get Caught Seatbelt Check

Inform drivers and passengers that using a seatbelt reduces their risk of death by 65% in a collision.

Blowing Your Whistle on Injury

To promote the Wear the Gear and Buckle Up messages while educating students about smart choices.

To promote the SMARTRISK five key messages and raise awareness about the issue of injury.
